>>Hi Tony You have done it again with your visit to Newgale. I remember travelling by train from Southport to Haverfordwest sitting in the corridor with all our camping gear on the Trek Cart in the Guard's Van. Our Scout camp was at Newgale and a number of memories were brought back. I presume the beach is still a huge bank of stones rather like Chesil Beach. I slipped whilst walking on the Northern Headland and started to roll down the slope heading for a steep drop into the sea. I was saved by one of the seniors who flung himself on top of me. I managed to trace him again only last year. One evening we went into Haverfordwest to the cinema but Skipper and the seniors wanted to see the Great Caruso. The rest of us saw a good war film. We caught the last bus back to Newgale and Skip and his group had to walk the 9 miles back to camp. As the most senior scout there I had to take charge and get the youngsters into bed and the two of us sat up till 2am when the rest arrived. Enjoy your holiday there. Regards Derek
